Window Gallery: Katarina Hackman

A Question of Balance by Katarina Hackman

Katarina is excited to be invited for a fifth time to hold a solo exhibition at the Corban & Blair Window Gallery presenting a set of themed paintings about Balance. As Katarina explains: ‘A Question of Balance as a theme first emerged in my art in 2022 with the painting Balancing Pears, an analogy of how we keep our lives in balance. In 2024, I took a deeper look at the challenges of achieving balance in our pressured lives. How do we achieve balance?  How do we maintain balance or move from one balanced state to another? These challenges are expressed using fruit, ceramics and fabric as players in the act of balance, sometimes meditative, whimsical or precarious.’

These original acrylic paintings on canvas, which vary in size from 30×40.5 cm to 40.5×40.5 cm, are available for sale. Contact: info@corbanblair.com.au
