Recycled Leather Journal and Luggage Tag Set

Client: Sydney Airport

This journal and luggage tag set was custom made for Sydney Airport. The journal and luggage tag is made from recycled leather debossed with the Sydney Airport logo and come in four different coloured elastic inspired by the Indigenous artwork featured in the wire pad notebook. The journal has a debossed text on the inside of the journal pocket which outlines the company motto.

The recycled leather is made from quality recycled leather, combining 60% genuine leather fibres from the European shoe and handbag industry, 20% natural latex, 10% natural fat, 10% misc/raw material with tanning agents and water. The notebook is made from 100% de-inked recycled post-consumer waste collected from offices throughout Australia. It is carbon neutral and made in the Maryvale Mill in Victoria.

Poetry Journal

Client: Red Room Poetry

This poetry journal was made in collaboration with Red Room Poetry. The journal is made from recycled leather and features poetry by Tibetan artist Tenzin Choegyal on the front of the journal foil blocked in white. Tenzin Choegyal is one of the world’s finest musicians in the Tibetan tradition. As a son of Tibetan nomads, he feels a particular connection to the music of the high Himalayan plateau.

The journal includes a wire-bound book that includes poetry from various artists printed in recycled paper. The book is made from 100% de-inked recycled post-consumer waste collected from offices throughout Australia. It is carbon neutral and made in the Maryvale Mill in Victoria. Client: Fulton Hogan

This custom made zip laptop bag was made in collaboration with Indigenous artist Thomas ‘Bagaay’ Avery for Fulton Hogan. The zip laptop bag features a large front and back pocket with concealable handles, a detachable shoulder strap and a lining design MAYAN by Thomas.

Travel Accessories with Indigenous Print

Client: Western Sydney University School of Business

These travel accessories were designed for Western Sydney University School of Business in collaboration with Indigenous artist Geoff Sellman. The travel wallet and luggage tag feature a painting by Geoff titled Campus Dreaming with blind debossed university logo. 

Campus Dreaming

Part mud map, part diagram this artwork presents ideas of connections across the Dharug Country of Western Sydney. The flyover concept captures the University campus locations into a network of links and landscapes. These locations are represented at the junction points or meeting–place circles, as centres of networked learning and innovation and highlight the complexities and connections of business communities and regions. 

Artist: Geoff Sellman

Geoff Sellman is Bunda Bunda Artist from the Goreng Nation (southeast Queensland) currently living in Dharug Country (western Sydney). Geoff is an awarded artist and collaborates with designer Simon Alexander Cook at The Social Canvas studio in Parramatta.
