Tech Wraps with Indigenous Prints

Client: Tourism Australia

These tech wraps were custom made for Tourism Australia in collaboration with Indigenous artist Thomas Avery. The tech wrap features an elastic band for cords and a pocket with a snap button perfect for travel. The inside lining is printed with Thomas’s print THUYUL which represents the hills in the country of the Gamilaroi Nation in Northern New South Wales.

Thomas ‘Bagaay’ Avery is a descendant of the Gamilaroi tribe in northern NSW. His personal totem is the blue tongue lizard. Thomas’s ancestors were born at Bohena Creek Aboriginal Reserve, Narrabri. Thomas is a painter, designer and filmmaker using his unique insights to communicate his culture.
