Meeting Place -a place of gathering for tribes.
Our new collaboration piece with Thomas is called Meeting Place. The design depicts a place of gathering for tribes. The lines indicate direction of significant features such as waterholes and sacred sites.
Designed in collaboration with Indigenous Artist Thomas Avery. Thomas ‘Bagaay’ Avery is a descendant of the Gamilaroi tribe in northern NSW. His personal totem is the blue tongue lizard. Thomas’s ancestors were born at Bohena Creek Aboriginal Reserve, Narrabri. Thomas is a painter, designer and filmmaker using his unique insights to communicate his culture.
