Conceived by Anna Stork and Andrea Sreshta, inventors and co-founders of LuminAID. A devastating earthquake had struck Haiti, and they asked, what could they design to help survivors. Stories about the dangerous conditions at night in the tent cities inspired them to the critical need – for light.
Solution -A simple, rechargeable lantern, lightweight, easy to use, and serves as a safer alternative to hazardous candles or toxic kerosene for people without stable access to electricity. For 10 years, they have worked with humanitarian partners all over the world to send LuminAID lights to those who need them most. Find out more about their work and how you can get involved here.
