Valuing long time Partnerships

We have been working with Thomas and Jenny Avery from Bohena for many years. Initially selling them our frames and then us buying Thomas’s iconic canvas paintings of Australian fauna and flora.

Corban & Blair sell his 6×4 framed art works as well as a new 8×8 version that come in a gift box with his Indigenous story.

Thomas’s Aboriginal name is Bukhai which means the river. Thomas is a descendant of the Kamilaroi Aboriginal tribe of Northern New South Wales. His tribal totem is the Eagle. Thomas’s ancestors were born at the Bohena Creek Aboriginal Reserve Narrabri. Narrabri is one of the communities of the stolen generation.

Thomas and his family now live and work in Sydney. Thomas and Jenny created the Bohena Creek Art Centre. Thomas has been painting for over 10 years and is a member of The Budamurra Aboriginal Corporation. He creates paintings on canvas, pure silk, didgeridoos, images on pure silk & painted and glass, ceramics, T shirts and surf boards.

Thomas’s paintings feature creatures of inland Australia including the kangaroo, wallaby, emu, platypus, gecko, goanna and ancient trails.
