A5 Australian Made Recycled Leather Journal

Client: Revolution 360

This journal is made from quality recycled leather, combining 60% genuine leather fibres from the European shoe and handbag industry, 20% natural latex, 10% natural fat, 10% misc/raw material with tanning agents and water.

The refillable pad is made from 100% de-inked recycled post-consumer waste collected from offices throughout Australia, it is carbon neutral and made in the Maryvale Mill, in Victoria. The logo was blind blocked on the front of the cover.

Kraft Notebook with Indigenous Prints

Client: Westpac

This kraft notebook was handmade for Westpac in collaboration with Indigenous artist Lucy Simpson from Gaawaa Miyay designs. The notebook features a contrast elastic band with two designs and a refillable A5 pad.

YARRAGAA MAYRRAA (spring wind) – This design speaks of an old story of the men who brought the colour beauty and flowers to Yuwaalaraay country.

WAGIBAA – This design speaks a story of Yuwaalaraay country. Inspired by the lines of country, it traces the north west plains where the sky touches land.

This A5 journal was custom made in collaboration with Indigenous artist Lucy Simpson from Gaawaa Miyay design. The journal features digitally printed fabric lining, a blind debossed ANZ logo on the tab and a story card with an introduction to the artist.

This travel gift set was designed exclusively for UNSW. The set includes a travel wallet, an A5 journal and a luggage tag. Made from beautiful vegetable tanned leather, the travel gift set features UNSW crest and logo debossed on each item.

* Natural Veg Tan (vegetable tanned) leather is unique. It is pale in colour, but once exposed to light and handling deepens to a rich tan colour. Leather is a natural material so markings such as scars, wrinkles and veining are characteristics and proof that it is genuine leather. Each piece is slightly individual which is why we love using it.

This gift set was designed especially for the Ruby Connection from Westpac in celebration of International Women’s Day. The journal includes a recycled paper notepad from Green Collect, a women-led environmental social enterprise. The notebooks are handmade from discarded folders and letterheads collected throughout Victoria. The journals are jam-packed with positive social and environmental impact!

Westpac and the Ruby Connection are committed to helping women-owned and led businesses to succeed by supporting the collaboration of enterprises to grow and develop meaningful business partnerships such as this.

Handmade Notebook with Stitched Spine

Client: Australian Design Centre

This stitched spine notebook was handmade for the Australian Design Centre for an exhibition installation called Designers respond to Covid-19. A hundred designers and creative thinkers were invited to document their thoughts on Covid-19, isolation, what ‘a new normal’ Australia might look like, how they were affected and how design could contribute to recovery post-pandemic.
